Markham Hood Cleaning collects the minimum information needed to quote and carry out commercial kitchen cleaning work, and uses it for nothing else. This page explains in plain terms what the quote form collects, where that information travels, how long it is kept, and how to ask for it to be corrected or removed. Last updated August 2026.
What this website collects
Information you choose to send. The quote form on this site asks for a name, a phone number, an email address, a business or kitchen name, and a description of what you need. It also records the page address the form was submitted from, which is used to understand which pages generate enquiries. Nothing on the form is collected that is not needed to respond to the request.
Information sent automatically by your browser. Like any website, this one is served by hosting infrastructure that logs standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is generated by the hosting platform for security and reliability purposes rather than collected deliberately by Markham Hood Cleaning, and it is not used to build a profile of individual visitors.
Live chat, where enabled. If a chat widget is running on the site, anything typed into it, along with the contact details a visitor chooses to give, is received and stored in the same customer system that receives form submissions. Do not send information through a chat widget that you would not send by email.
What is never collected here. This site does not ask for payment card details, banking information, government identification numbers, or health information. No page on this website has any legitimate reason to request any of those, so treat any page that appears to do so as suspect.
Where your information goes and how long it stays
The path a form submission takes. A submitted form is passed by this website to a hosted customer relationship system, where it becomes a contact record and generates a notification so somebody can respond. It is not emailed to a mailing list, sold, rented, or shared with advertising networks. There is no advertising or tracking pixel on this site.
Service providers. Running the site and responding to enquiries involves a small number of third-party providers: website hosting, the customer relationship system that stores enquiries, and telephone and messaging services used to reply. Each holds information only so that this business can respond to you, and each operates under its own security and privacy obligations.
Retention. Enquiries and job records are kept while there is a business reason to keep them, which for completed work is longer than most people expect: cleaning certificates and their supporting photographs are records an operator may need to produce years later for an insurer, an auditor or a purchaser of the business. Enquiries that never became work are kept for a shorter period.
Location. Some providers store data on servers outside Canada. Where that is the case, the information remains subject to the contractual protections those providers offer, and it is limited to the same enquiry and job details described above.
Legal disclosure. Information may be disclosed where the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal order. Nothing else is disclosed to anyone.
Your choices, and how to exercise them
Asking what is held. Call 289-806-9117 and ask what information is held about you or your business. Under Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA, an individual has a right of access to their personal information held by an organisation, and this business will provide it.
Correction. If a record is wrong, say so and it will be corrected. Wrong phone numbers and outdated contacts are common and worth fixing for practical reasons as well as legal ones.
Deletion. Contact details will be removed on request. Note the one limit: where work has been carried out, the record of that work and the certificate issued for it is a business and safety record, and removing it would leave the customer without documentation they may later need. Where that applies it will be explained rather than used as a reason to refuse everything.
Stopping contact. Ask, on the phone or by replying to any message, and contact stops. No marketing list operates from this site, so in practice the only messages sent are ones responding to an enquiry or arranging a booked visit.

Does this website use cookies or tracking?
This site is static HTML with no advertising network, no analytics tracking pixel and no cross-site tracking. Where a chat widget is enabled, that third-party widget may set its own storage in order to keep a conversation going between page loads. That is the only cookie-like storage this site would introduce.
Will my details be sold or shared with other companies?
No. Enquiry details are used to respond to the enquiry and to carry out the work. They are not sold, rented, traded, or passed to advertisers, and there is no arrangement with any lead-selling service. The only third parties involved are the service providers needed to run the website and reply to you.
Are the photographs taken during a job kept?
Yes, and deliberately. Before-and-after photographs form part of the record supporting the certificate, and they are exactly what an insurer or an auditor asks for when questions arise later. They show equipment and building surfaces rather than people, and they are not published anywhere without the customer's explicit permission.
Is a customer name ever published on this website?
No. No customer of this business is named anywhere on this site, and no testimonial appears without permission, which is why there are none. Segments are described in general terms such as restaurants, supermarket counters and institutional kitchens, and that is as specific as it gets without written agreement.
What if I sent something sensitive by mistake?
Call 289-806-9117 and say so. The message can be removed from the customer record. Nothing on this site ever needs payment details, banking information or identification numbers, so if information like that has been sent through the form, it should be removed rather than left sitting in a record.
